We have an Arlington, Texas based client looking for a Director of Finance. Our client is in the travel industry and is seeking a candidate with 7-10 years of experience.

Director of Finance


Directs the company’s Accounting and Planning & Purchasing Department and serves as a member of the Senior Management team which aids the Chief Operating Officer and the President/CEO in formulating and administering organization polices by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate mangers.

Essential functions:

Serve as a member of the senior management committee and participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives for the company

Manages accounting department within budget, sets departmental objectives and conducts quarterly review

Oversees accounting processes and closing activities on a monthly basis including transaction entry, month end adjustments, and reporting of company activity and financial position

Oversee reporting of income, expenses, earnings, assets, and liabilities, based on past, present, and expected operations.

Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast date to determine department progress towards stated goals and objectives

Manage financial and accounting relationships with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community by performing duties personally and/or through subordinates

Oversee and direct treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, long-range forecasting and insurance activities for the organization.

Appraises financial position and issues periodic reports on financial stability, liquidity, and growth. Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of corporations annual report.

Performs other related duties and assignments as required

Knowledge and Skills

Experience with long-term project cash flow management, reporting, and forecasting

Strong knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles

Knowledge of Gross Margins and Markups, and ability to calculate figures and such as margins, discounts, interest, and commissions

Ability to interact with high level executives and communicate verbally and written with confidence

Ability to work within a team environment supporting team objectives

Must be able to delegate responsibility with appropriate review and follow up

Extensive travel may be required

Salary 70,000 to 85,000
